Het is een stevige massa van gekookt maïsmeel dat van zichzelf niet veel smaak heeft, maar daardoor juist uitstekend is om in combinatie met een ander gerecht te eten. Funchi komt het best tot haar recht in combinatie met een lekkere saus.
